About Us
Our mission is to inform others about Latin American cultures, and to provide opportunities for minority students through scholarships and leadership abilities. Although the Hispanic Student Society is based on Latin culture, members do not have to be Hispanic to join. In fact, HSSI encourages students of other backgrounds to be apart of the experience. Members and Officers
When becoming a HSSI club member, each student is expected to attend a minimum of two meetings each month. If a student does not attend the minimum number of required meetings, he or she will be placed on club probation. New HSSI members will be assigned a group in which they will be apart of for the rest of the school year. In these teams, every student will have an opportunity to lead activities, plan activities, and escort guest speakers. Officer elections will held at the end of every year, and will be voted for by HSSI club members. The most candidates will undergo a review by the HSSI's board of officers. |
